The Makita DHR242RTE is a 3-mode high-performance cordless combination hammer drill. It would be used mainly by trade professionals. This drill can be used in Rotation and hammering, Hammering only and rotation only. It has 40 different locking positions and a longer bit guide than its predecessor. It provides a sure and comfortable grip in any operation; overhead application, drilling with palm-up or palm-down grip. It has a unique rubber joint construction suppressing the transmission of vibration to battery terminals, minimizing battery failures such as terminal breakage or poor electrical contact. Its able to drill in concrete as fast as the 24V cordless combination hammer model BHR200. It has a one touch slide clutch for SDS-plus bits.
