About Hikoki

The HiKOKI selection includes 18V equipment, 36V MULTI VOLT tools, batteries and chargers alongside corded grinders, drilling tools, saws, routers and cordless nailers. The clearest way to compare it is to settle the power platform and package format before looking at performance features.

Why Choose Hikoki

Make one platform decision before comparing tools

18V cordless
Relevant when you already use an 18V battery setup or are building a compact cordless kit. Check the exact battery requirement and whether the listing is a bare unit or kit.
36V MULTI VOLT
Appears across higher-demand cordless tools in this category. Confirm the model’s stated voltage and the battery reference rather than assuming every HiKOKI battery fits every tool.
Corded 110V or 230V
Useful when the working environment points to a mains-powered grinder, router or demolition tool. Voltage must be selected from the individual listing.

Use a three-question jobsite filter

  1. What work is repeated most? Drilling and driving, grinding, cutting, routing, concrete work and nailing place different demands on the tool.
  2. What is already in the van? Existing batteries and chargers can shape the shortlist, but compatibility should be checked by model reference.
  3. What does the package contain? A body-only listing and a two-battery kit solve different purchasing needs even when the machine is similar.

Read nailing equipment as a separate system

First-fix, finish and brad nailers are not selected in the same way as a drill or grinder. Gauge, nail type, magazine format and the supplied power kit must be checked together. For replacement consumables or equipment, compare the exact nailer model with the manufacturer’s stated requirements.

Keep old and new naming in view

Some product listings may retain Hitachi naming while newer products use HiKOKI. Treat the model number and technical specification as the deciding identifiers. Current stock status and package details are shown on each product page.

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know aboutHikoki tools at Tool Depot Ireland.
What is the first decision when buying a HiKOKI cordless tool?

Decide whether the job and your existing setup point to 18V or 36V MULTI VOLT, then confirm the precise tool and battery references.

Can I use any HiKOKI battery with any HiKOKI tool?

Do not assume brand-wide compatibility. Check the voltage, battery model and tool documentation for the particular combination.

Why do some listings still say Hitachi?

Older product names may remain in parts of the catalogue. Use the model number and specification to identify the equipment rather than relying on the name alone.

What should I check on a HiKOKI nailer listing?

Confirm whether it is intended for first fix or finish work, the fixing gauge and format, the included batteries and charger, and the exact model reference.
