Festool DOMINO, beech D 8×36/130 BU

The special shape in combination with expanding glue pockets and longitudinal grooves gives the dowels a secure grip. For absolutely twist-proof connections and maximum stability. Added to this is significantly faster processing: The first dowel hole is aligned with extreme ease and routed accurately using flip stops. It immediately secures the workpieces that are to be joined so that they are exact and flush with the edge. The DOMINO system even tolerates smaller imprecisions in the other dowel holes.

Strengths and benefits

• The D8x36 dowels are ideally coordinated to the basic structure connector system, therefore no rearranging between dowel cross cuts and connector cross cuts is necessary
• They provide further load transfer in addition to the connectors
• The cross cut of a DOMINO dowel corresponds to that of three round dowels of the same drill diameter, meaning that it is extremely steady in comparison
• The laterally projecting guide ribs centre the dowel in the middle of the DOMINO milling groove and thus ensure perfect alignment of workpieces
• Specially formed glue pockets and longitudinal grooves distribute the glue evenly, for optimal joining
• Excessive glue can escape through the lateral longitudinal grooves
• 100% rotation-proof right from the first DOMINO
• Quick finding of the right dowel through imprinted size specifications

Main areas of use

• 36 mm long, ideal for joining two bases to a centre panel on 19 mm thick T cupboard structures (centre panel joint)
• As load transfer and additional stability when working with detachable basic structure connectors
• For steady, detachable furniture constructions, such as cupboards

Product details

Not flat. Not round. DOMINO!

DOMINOs combine all the advantages of round and flat dowels. Thanks to their unique shape, they are extremely stable and secured against rotation right from the first dowel.

100% rotation-proof

Right from the first DOMINO the joints are completely secured against rotation – without aligning the workpieces.

Maximum stability

The special shape of the DOMINO in combination with expanding glue pockets and lateral longitudinal grooves gives the dowels a secure grip.

Perfect for T-joints

The DOMINO dowel, with its 8 x 36 mm length specially adjusted for T-joints, ensures the DOMINO dowels don't clash in the middle of 19 mm panels.

A perfect fit

The DOMINO DF 500 jointers precisely adjust the holes to the respective dowels. The special grooving geometry of the dowels enables accuracy and a perfect fit.

Responsible forest management

All DOMINOs originate from sustainable forest management and other controlled sources. They bear the Forest Stewardship Council™ (FSC™) seal, which means that all stages along the supply chain are FSC-certified.
